Teaching and Learning with MUVE´s. First Task.

Hello. I am excited because I was selected to join in the postgraduate course “Teaching and learning with MUVE´s. I am going to learn a lot (in fact I am learning since I enter in the web of the course.) Because I had to use English in the course, I am going to practise my English too¡.
The first task of the course consist on write a post that contains or that answer three topics/situations.
If we have a blog, we must write this post in our blog or, if we want, we can do a blog for the course. I have this blog” From Communication” from a time ago. I had it with a restricted access because I haven´t time to put interesting texts on it.
But today- I have decided to open this blog. I will write it if I can and, of course, I will use this blog for my course.

Situation A
I am your friend. I don’t work in education. You are talking to me about the idea that we all learn from each other, in all kinds of contexts, and that this can often be richer than more formal classroom based learning. I am sceptical. Tell me about an informal learning experience you have had online in which collaboration was involved, show me a concrete example to help me to see what you mean.

Ok, you have doubts about the use of the new technologies for education, for exchange knowledge. Do you prefer the traditional classroom. Ok, that´s right but you don´t have to choose. You can use the two ways of teaching. I really love the traditional class (when the teachers are good, of course).

From my point of view if a teacher is well prepared, if he or she likes teaching, there will not any problem because the lesson will be marvellous in a class or in a virtual space.
The important thing is that it is necessary to learn about the technologies in order to use them. It´s clear that the new technologies help and almost change the concept of education in some ways. Internet made possible that people who are in isolates places can study by join in e learning courses and, this means that educators that want to teach people who is far from them, can do it.

Obviously, teaching in virtual spaces implies an effort. Teachers and also atudents may do an effort in order to obtain good results.
Ihave exchanged ideas with people that I hand´t seen and it is good because we are in touch only because we have the same interests. In this way, I have joint in the III On-line Congress organized by the Observatorio de la Cibersociedad and it was fantastic. and, in fact, I think that people participate more in this type of Congress than in a “real Congress” because usually, I the traditional Congress there is no time for create a debate.

Virtual spaces have advantages and disadvantages of course. But is like all in the life, you can use virtual spaces in a good way if you wants and your possibilities, of course, will be bigger in many aspects because it is an extension of the most of our abilities,

Situation B.

We all explore new technologies, some grab our attention more than others, some seem revolutionary, others simply bore us. Tell us about that new tool, or set of tools, you have just discovered that really excites you, talk about the potential it has to change your work. What do you want to do with it?

I have been surfing on the net, towards the links that most of the students of this course have included in their emails and I have been discovered new tools for me that are very interesting.
I use different tools.
Tool is a word that can be understood from different points of view. In this way, a software can be a tool, a gadget can be a tool .... I like gmail . Of course, we must consider search engines as a tool. It is probably the tool that I like most. I believe that it was a great discovering¡¡
I like small gadgets that we can add to our blogs like feedijit, show us the life traffic of your blog. I like you tube because thanks to this tool I can listening several music: you tube
I like this on-line dictionary: learnesdictionary and I like this program that allows us select images and edit in the same place: fastone

Situation C

Do you see yourself as a pioneer? Do you think you are more innovative than others in your organisation? Do you think your organisation is lagging behind? Tell us how you feel about this?

I have a big curiosity. I like know more about several thinks and I like working for being better/ for doing things in a better way/for do better things.
